What I Want to Be
I have so many things I want to do in my life and I have a hard time choosing which career should I pursue.
When I was in kindergarten, my first love was dancing. I was the star dancer in our class. I even received a Best Dancer ribbon because I was active doing dance numbers on stage together with my classmates. I always had fun dancing. However, when I was in elementary, due to health problems, I stopped entering dance performances in school. Because of this, my self esteem got affected and was discouraged to join any dance performances.
When I was 10 years old, I enjoyed looking on brochures with beautiful poses and dresses. Sometimes I thought that I want to be a model but height was my problem. But when our teacher asked us what do we want to be in the future, I thought deeply. At that time, I disliked being married to someone because I found out that giving birth was painful. That was why I decided I was going to be a nun. However, I soon found out that being a nun meant I have to live separately with my parents. I disliked that idea so I quit my desire being a nun.
When I was 12, I loved to draw, especially dresses. Some of my classmates liked my designs, so I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer. But as I sketched more dresses, my love for drawing grew and I begun sketching Anime characters. Because of that I had a burning desire to be an artist. However when I went to college, I was forced to think practically and ended up taking Bachelor of Arts in English as my course. There I found my passion for literature which made me love my course even more. As an English major, students were required to perform on stage doing role plays and performing has always been my cup of tea whether it be dancing, singing, acting, or reciting. Therefore I realized that I really love art and I can definitely see myself passionately expressing myself through it. Whatever I become in the future as long as ART exist, I believe that I'll always remain happy forever.
